Dr. Andrew Cross, one of Missoula's best vets.

Andrew Cross, DVM

I graduated from Iowa State University in 1985. After working at clinics in Littleton and Black Forest, Colorado, I settled in Missoula with my wife, Mary in 1990, joining Dr. Conrad Orr at the Missoula Veterinary Clinic. Since then we have been blessed with 4 children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a grandchild, and the privilege to continue serving the Missoula community by helping care for animals both large and small.

My work currently is focused mostly with dogs and cats, including preventative care, medicine, general surgery and dentistry.

Dr. Scott Bovard, Missoula veterinarian, treats Missoula's pets.

Scott Bovard, DVM

I received my DVM degree from Iowa State University in 1985. I practiced standardbred racetrack medicine and general equine medicine and surgery in Philadelphia for 5 years. Then was a founding partner in Mid-Rivers Equine Center near St. Louis, Missouri until 1997 when I moved to Missoula and transitioned to small animal practice. I currently enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially orthopedic surgery.

My family is the most important thing to me. I have a lovely wife of over 35 years, 2 great children, a daughter-in-law, and 2 grandchildren. My son is a graduate of the USMA in West Point, NY and is a 1st Lieutenant in the US Army . My daughter, a former level 10 gymnast in high school, is a college graduate and is currently working while traveling abroad. I love hiking, fishing, hunting, cross country skiing, white water rafting, triathlons and playing guitar. I feel blessed to live in a place like Missoula Montana and truly love my work and enjoy the great staff we have here at Missoula Veterinary Clinic.

Dr. Jessica Hanson, a Missoula vet treating dogs, cats and other small animals throughout the Bitterroot Valley.

Jessica Hanson, DVM

My interest in animals started at a young age with family pets and was fueled throughout high school by my work with a veterinarian in my hometown of Kahului, Hawaii. After high school, I left Hawaii to attend the University of Northern Colorado, eager to pursue my education and new experiences (i.e. SNOW!!) I attended veterinary school at Colorado State University, and graduated in 2009. From there I traveled even further north, starting my career at a busy small animal clinic in Great Falls. Two years later, love brought me to Missoula, where I did relief work for several clinics in the area before joining the team at Missoula Veterinary Clinic.

My professional interests include soft tissue surgery, feline medicine and ultrasonography, and I enjoy mentoring students interested in veterinary medicine. I love living in Missoula with my husband Aaron, three cats and a dog . In my free time I enjoy hiking, being with family and friends, teaching my (not-so-old) dog new tricks, reading, skiing, playing the ukulele and volleyball.

  Dr Adam McDougall, DVM

I graduated from WSU’s veterinary teaching hospital in Pullman, WA, where my family lived for 12 years, before moving out to beautiful Montana. My lovely wife Katie and I have two children: Henry and Dora. We also share our house with three dogs (Maria, Two Dot, Rosie) and two cats (Penguin and Wee Lassie). Before veterinary school I managed the ICU at WSU’s VTH where I worked as a licensed technician with specialty in emergency and critical care medicine. My outside interests include playing, coaching and watching hockey, camping, and being with my family. It is a privilege for me to be able to provide excellent medical care for all of the wonderfully unique pets of Missoula.

I spent my childhood in Montana, and have yearned to return since I left for college in 1996.  I received my BS in Biology from University of Puget Sound in 2000 (Tacoma, WA) and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2007.  I practiced primarily small animal medicine and surgery in Pullman, WA for seven years before returning home to the Big Sky Country in 2014.  I strive to provide the best care possible for all animals and help people keep their pet’s healthy and happy with quality preventative care.  I am particularly interested in dental health, internal medicine, ultrasonography, dermatology, behavior, and surgery.  My husband Adam is also a practicing veterinarian and we have two children (Henry and Dora).  Completing the household are two senior mix-breed dogs (Maria, 15 and Two Dot, 9) and two kitties (Wee Lass and Penguin).   I enjoy singing, acting and all things outdoors
